Watching the Sox Clinch the Wild Card!

Avaya gave David 4 tickets to last Tuesday's game so we headed up to Boston again and met up with my brother and Aimee. We got to watch the Red Sox guarentee a spot in the post season and the antics and celebrations after the game was over were a hoot to watch!

The view from our right field box seats.
Everyone was chanting MVP while Pedroia was being interviewed.

It was one happy group!
Papelbon giving away the bases to the crowd! He is quite the character!

Anthony Update!

I can't believe 4 weeks from today my baby is turning two! These past few weeks have probably been the most fun and the most difficult when it comes to parenting Anthony. He is starting to talk more, and do the funniest things that crack us up!

Last night he had a little container of goldfish he was eating while playing. He decided he was thirsty and still hungry after finishing his goldfish. (I was in the baby's room changing his diaper) so he pulled a chair up to the counter, took the goldfish bag sitting on the counter, filled his bowl with goldfish, and put the bag back on the counter empty. Then he took a cup, filled it with water (that was alarming he knows how to do this). When I come in he has he cup sitting on a coaster on the coffee table and a bowl overflowing with goldfish! Not to mention a trail of goldfish leading to where he was sitting. Guess I can't walk out of the room anymore!

With these changes comes the stubborness and frustration, of wanting something and not being able to express what it is. So we are in quite a temper tantrum phase. It has been challenging to say the least, but we are working through it and trying to give him as much positive reinforcement when he does that right thing that we can. I put him on the bathroom scale last week and he is just 27 pounds. I am interested to see how tall he is at the doctor's next month!

David always makes coffee on the weekend and now Anthony wants coffee! So D gives him a mug of milk with a splash of coffee. You can see Anthony is enjoying his waffles and veggie sausage and coffee with his Daddy!

Jackson Update!

After a busy week and a broken camera I am getting back on track! Jackson is now 6 months old! I can't believe how much he is changing. At the Dr's he weighed 22 pounds 2 ounces and was 29 inches tall. He is officially in 12 month clothes and wearing things Anthony wore when he was about a year old! Not sitting up yet, but the Dr said his size has a lot to do with that--more to hold up! Ha, ha! He is the happiest baby you'll find, laughing and giggling all the time (not to mention showing off those beautiful pearly whites!) He rolls everywhere and surprises me with just how far he goes rolling! He eats two meals a day along with his bottles, and although he is not a huge fan, he is getting better!

Having fun apple picking!

Enjoying his visit to Memere and Pepere's.

A short clip of his smiles and giggles!

Happy 40th David!

David didn't want a big party to commemorate his day, but I wanted to make his birthday special. So, I got some great seats at fenway and we spent the day together in Boston Sunday, meeting my brother for breakfast and then heading to the game. We thought the weather was going to be a wash, but it cleared up about an hour before! It was great to get away for the day and he ended up taking the day off Monday (his actual birthday) and we spent the day together as a family.

Some Random Pics of Recent Days

I have fallen a bit behind so here a few favorties from recent weeks....

At the park
Anthony didn't know these kids, but wanted to join in the fun. You can tell he is not shy!

Do you see the teeth??

Hanging out in Jackson's play yard.

Washing Daddy's Truck

Anthony washed his beloved "Big B" with David last weekend. He was out there playing in the bucket and scrubbing the truck for a long time and loved it! Looks like the we are witnessing the beginnings of Daddy/Son chores together on Saturday morning!

Showing off his kicks!

Everyone little boy needs a little camo in their wardrobe, right?

Look very carefully at the picture above....
Can you see a tooth on the bottom left??? :)

Viva a New York City!

Grand Central Terminal with the Chrysler building behind it.
I had my first girls' weekend since the boys were born. Although I missed all 3 of them, it certainly was nice to get away and feel like an adult again! I had forgotten what it was like to eat out without entertaining two children, or take a walk without a double stroller to push. Amalia, Becky and I stayed in a great 1 bedroom walk-up just one block west of Times Square (if you ever need a rental Vacation Rentals By Owner http://www.vrbo.com/ is the way to go). We saw Legally Blond on broadway (fun show), took the Sex and the City Tour (great way to see the city and if you are a fan like me a must do), and went to the top of the Empire State Building. We also ate at Broadway Joe's Steakhouse, and Otto, one of Mario Batalli's (think Iron Chef America)Italian restaurants. We had drinks with my cousin Sue and her husband Brad and had dinner with Sara. It was so much fun! Here are some of my favorite pics!

Cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery (psst....don't tell, but I think mine are better!)
