Boston Children's Museum

Last week when David was out of town on business, my mom and I made the trek up to beantown to the Boston Children's Museum. Then we had lunch with Adam which was nice. Anthony loved the museum. You could spend all day there and still have more to see. Here are some pics from the day...I am late posting these because I didn't have my camera so I was waiting for Jumpin Jan to pass them along....

My big boy!

So Jackson doesn't get a 3 month appointment, so I weighed an measured him to see where he is at. 16. 5 pounds and 25 inches! I have a big boy! I am not surprised because is always hungry! He is running about 1.5 pounds bigger than Anthony was at this age. My arms should be rock solid in a few months considering he is still too little to hold any of his own weight when I carry him. He is like a brick! :) I love his little rolls on his legs...I could just gobble them up.

What do you get when you cross a toddler with an open box of cereal left on the table in arm's reach?

The entire box. Brand new box-only a cupful poured out to give him a snack. He decided to snack off the floor instead. It is amazing the damage done turning your back for a second!

Happy 3 Year Anniversary!

It's been 3 years already??? It can't be. I guess it is true that when you meet your perfect life partner, your happily ever after goes by just too fast. What an amazing 3 years, 2 kids and 1 dream come true it has been!

Fun at Nana and Big Papa's Pool

Today was Jackson first ever swim. Anthony loved the water last year. This year, not so much. He seems a little tentative, but I am sure over time he will grow to like it more. For now, he enjoys playing out of the water and with the fountain that is on the pool steps. I was having issues with my camera taking clear pictures so ignore the minor blur some of these pics have!

Coos, Giggles and Smiles!

I love the sweet sounds of a happy baby. Jackson is getting more and more animated everyday and he makes the sweetest little noises.

First Jeans

Jackson wore his first pair of jeans! He doesn't have the belly to keep the 3-6 month pair up, but he probably doesn't have much longer in them height-wise! I have a tall, tall boy! And the second picture is just because I can't resist my little boy's smile!

I want to be like mommy!

Anthony loves to help out with the baby. He tries to give him his binky if he cries, tries to hold his bottle (not very still, but the effort is there), gives him toys, gives him hugs, and the newest thing is wanting to "hold" him: meaning he reaches his arms out and hugs him while I hold Jackson from the other side. Now he is practicing the baby bjorn. Pup-pup is the first tester!

Today was one of those days...

...and I mean that in the best way possible. I can't believe what a litte boy my baby has turned into. We have been in the midst of quite the tantrum phase and today was my light at the end of the tunnel. I can't help getting teary as I watch all the things he does that show he is growing up so fast.

  • Instead of whipping his food across the floor, I secretly celebrated that all day today he picked up his plate and reached it out to me.
  • I sing the ABCs and if you tell him its his turn you hear, "A, B, C, D, C, C, C..." Love it.
  • David has poison ivy and I put a band aid to cover one spot that was really inflamed. Anthony reaches out his arm and points to the same spot b/c he wanted a band aid too.
  • No crying, arching, or fighting to get in the stroller or carseat. Or to go inside when it was time to get ready for dinner!
  • Hugging his brother and being very gentle around him.
  • Throwing his fruit snacks wrapper in the trash.
  • Coloring. This is something new. He hadn't been interested before.
  • Picking up the burp cloth off the floor and handing it to me when I am holding Jackson and can't quite reach.
  • Sticking out his tongue and giggling when you ask, "Where's your tongue?"
  • Holding still when changing messy diapers! Wrestlemania was put to rest for the day! yay!

I am in awe of how much he changes everyday, yet I am a bit sad as well because I know how quickly these last almost 20 months have gone.

Happy Father's Day!

This is David's 2nd father's day! Anthony and Jackson are lucky to have such a great Daddy! They love their "Big B!"

Fun with Sunglasses!

Nana and Big Papa brought these back from Texas. The boys had fun wearing them!

A quick clip-I had meant to take a picture! They look cute though, so I thought I'd share!

Playtime with Anthony

He is such a busy, busy boy. Lately he has been trying to speak more and is saying a bunch more words, but also just "babbling" more as if he's trying to have a conversation. He also tries to sing! His favorite word right now is "Big B!" He started calling David's truck this and now calls David this as well as any other truck he sees! He is also at the stage where he goes from happy to sad and gentle to rough in a split second, so I am always on my toes! No wonder his mommy is tired by the end of the night.

Giggles!

Here are some other cute pics of Jackson! I feel guilty he gets the short end of the stick in terms of quantity of pictures being taken of him compared to Anthony!

Cowboy Jackson!

Our baby J is starting to show some great expressions and coos. Today we had a little fun with Anthony's cowboy hat!
